Job summary

Beloit Heath and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will plan, organize, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality resident care.

This full-time position offers flexible scheduling or per diem PRN opportunities. You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other staff to support residents' goals and maintain comprehensive documentation and compliant billing.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • WI OTA licensure.
  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment for each patient.
  • Perform treatment plans following short and long term goals per plan of care by supervising therapist.
  • Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Establish individual resident therapy schedules with the team.
  • Document and bill occupational therapy services according to the treatment plan.
  • Perform all duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
  • Comply with CMS documentation standards daily with point of care documentation.

Education

Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
WI OTA licensure
Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification

Job description

Beloit Heath and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner facility. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time with flexible scheduling or Per Diem PRN

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice

  • Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist

  • Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

  • Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

  • Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

  • Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
