Job summary

Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, teaching patients exercise techniques, documenting progress, and collaborating with a care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.
• Review medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by observing patients as they move.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coach patients and teach therapeutic massage to ease pain and promote healing.
• Maintain patient records and track goals.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support interventions.
• Assess progress and adjust treatments in clinical records.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed.
• Provide counseling to patients and families about physical disorders.
• Communicate progress, barriers, and plans with the health team.
• Provide discharge summaries per regulatory requirements.
• Document all regulatory information in the electronic system and maintain records.
• Participate in trainings and conferences.
• Supervise rehabilitation aides and/or students.
• Adhere to company policy and code of conduct.
• Maintain active licensure.
