Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Texas seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement the plan of care established by the therapist and physician, delivering high-quality care.

You will screen residents quarterly, evaluate per MD orders, plan and adjust treatment, discharge planning, educate staff and families, and supervise therapy assistants to ensure compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Texas state licensure as a Therapy Assistant.
• Ability to screen residents quarterly and identify intervention needs.
• Ability to evaluate residents per MD order and establish treatment plans and goals.
• Experience supporting discharge planning and caregiver education.

Responsibilities

• Implement the plan of care as established by the therapist and physician.
• Screen residents quarterly to identify declines and determine if therapy is indicated.
• Evaluate residents per MD order and establish appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Re-assess caseload and determine need for continued services.
• Carry out treatment program as indicated.
• Provide discharge planning to maximize independence.
• Educate staff, families, and caregivers as indicated.
• Coordinate in-services for facility staff to ensure safe carryover of programs.
• Supervise therapy assistants/techs as per state regulations.
