Harmony Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fitzgerald, GA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work under a licensed OT. You will implement treatment plans, assist with ADL training, document progress, and educate residents and families to promote independence.

Under supervision, you’ll help maximize residents' functional mobility and quality of life, while adhering to facility policies and regulations in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current and valid COTA certification/licensure.
• CPR certification required (or obtain upon hire).

Responsabilités

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide occupational therapy interventions including ADL training and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommend modifications to treatment plans when appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence.
• Adhere to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations.
