Job summary

Rossmoor Post Acute in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve functional abilities and independence, with a focus on ADLs and quality of life.

Qualifications

• California COTA license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising OT.
• Help residents improve ADLs, functional skills, and independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising OT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, caregivers, and families.
• Provide caregiver education and support safe discharge planning.
• Assist with home exercise and activity programs.
• Contribute to a positive, rehabilitative environment through teamwork and communication.
