Job summary

Asheboro Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Asheboro, NC is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team.

You will provide comprehensive OT services under supervision, document progress, ensure MD orders, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; SNF setting preferred. We offer yearly raises and a comprehensive benefits package, with a flexible schedule and PTO.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or AS in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current license/registration in NC.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT treatments under supervision and according to state guidelines.
• Assist with identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress in progress notes with co-signature from OTR.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as needed and participate in team rounds.
• Schedule patients and assist with caseload management.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education and comply with facility policies and confidentiality.
