PARS Therapy is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our home health team in Irving, TX. This onsite role focuses on helping clients manage daily living tasks and improve independence through personalized OT interventions.

Under supervision, you will implement treatment plans, document progress, and educate families. Experience in home health, strong communication, and commitment to evidence-based practice are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Active COTA certification.
• Experience in home health or rehab setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of OT practices and evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL, Lawton IADL).
• Proficient with digital documentation and therapy software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable to different personalities and care environments.
• Commitment to professional growth and evidence-based practice.

Aufgaben

• Support clients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision of an OT.
• Adapt interventions to enhance safety and independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Educate clients on task breakdown and adaptive strategies.
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment use.
• Assess home environments and suggest modifications.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance.
• Track and report patient progress toward goals.
• Accurately document care and maintain records.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure progress.
