Job summary

PARS Therapy in Jasper, TX is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our home health team onsite in Jasper. You will work under an OT supervision to implement treatment plans and support ADL/IADL training while educating families and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Active COTA certification for the state of Texas.
• Experience in home health or rehab setting preferred.
• Proficient with digital documentation and therapy software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Adapt interventions to enhance safety and independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Educate clients on breaking down tasks into manageable steps and using adaptive strategies.
• Recommend and train clients in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Assess home environments and suggest modifications based on client needs.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance and education.
• Track and report patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Accurately document care and maintain up-to-date records.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continued progress and support.
