Adoration Health, in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a dedicated Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering patient-centered home health care, enhancing independence and functional outcomes for clients in Rutherford County and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent OTA education completed.
• CPR certification current and valid.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment/management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore and reinforce task performance.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to support OT needs during physical activity.
• Provide training to individuals and others involved in rehabilitation, and document results.
• Report status changes to the rehabilitation team and attending physician as appropriate.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health COTA, You will:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance and promote their overall health and self-sufficiency
• Conduct community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity
• Provide training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Support individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique
