Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for Pleasant View, TN. The OTA will support rehabilitation goals, perform home visits, and collaborate with the therapy team in a patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities include assisting the OT with activities, conducting reintegration efforts, and documenting progress. Competitive benefits and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• OTA degree from an accredited program.
• Current OTA certification valid in TN.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in neurological rehab or related conditions.

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing activities to restore task performance and promote health and independence.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to support OT needs during physical activity.
• Provide training to individuals and others involved in rehabilitation, and document results of training.
• Report status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and treatment team members.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health COTA, You will:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance and promote their overall health and self-sufficiency
• Conduct community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity
• Provide training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Support individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique
