Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a day shift, full-time role. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients of all ages following the established plan of care.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree, is ready to obtain BLS within 14 days of hire, and possesses an Oklahoma State License as an OTA. NBCOT is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• OK State License at Occupational Therapy Assistant (or temporary letter to practice).
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing Occupational Therapy services to patients/clients of all ages as per the plan of care while under the supervision of an OT.
• Communicate and document treatment results and patient progress according to department policies.
• Serve as a resource for the team and participate in orientation of new staff and other health personnel.
• Participate in teaching activities for OTA students and other health-related students.
• Work within practice guidelines as defined by Oklahoma state law.
