Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for day shift and PRN coverage to support the Occupational Therapist in serving patients of all ages.

You will document progress, communicate results, and participate in staff orientation and teaching activities. Active Oklahoma licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required, with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• OK State License at Occupational Therapy Assistant (or temporary letter to practice).
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing Occupational Therapy services to patients/clients of all ages according to the plan of care while under supervision.
• Communicate and document results of treatment including patients’ progress toward established goals.
• Serve as a resource person for the team and the department; participate in orientation of new staff and other health personnel.
• Participate in teaching activities for Occupational Therapy Assistant students and other health-related students.
