Job summary

San Luis Care Center in Alamosa, CO, part of Life Care Centers of America, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, hourly role. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered, with a pay range of $30–$40 per hour.

The COTA will provide direct rehab under an OT supervisor, with opportunities for continuing education and growth within a 200+ facility network. New grads welcome; state licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required at hire; renewal optional.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (ASOT).
• Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state with active license.
• New grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans under supervising OT.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning.
• Collaborate on an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain ergonomic practices (standing, bending, lifting, etc.).
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
