Job summary

Suring Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time FT with flexible scheduling or PRN.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• WI OTA licensure is required.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best intervention or treatment.
• Perform treatment plans and follow short/long term goals per plan of care by supervising therapist.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to established plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentation.
