Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team serving communities across Southern Prince George's County, Maryland. You will work alongside an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and return to daily activities.

This PRN, home health role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, flexible scheduling, and the use of WellSky for clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• State license required to practice as a COTA in Maryland.
• Good communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional independence.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), therapeutic exercises, and adaptive techniques.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and energy conservation strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using WellSky.
