Simpson is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our senior living team. The COTA will work closely with the occupational therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services to residents.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults and a passion for improving their quality of life. We require a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant, NBCOT certification, and state licensure, with a preference for those with senior living experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required.
• NBCOT certification and state licensure are required.
• Experience with older adults in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Implement treatment plans developed by the occupational therapist to help residents achieve their goals.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living to improve independence.
• Support mobility, strength, and coordination through therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress in the electronic medical record system and communicate with the team.
• Educate residents and families on continuing therapy exercises at home.
