Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Johnstown, PA is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team with a focus on hand therapy. You will treat upper-extremity conditions and collaborate with our Hand Therapist to provide guidance and ensure quality patient care.

The role requires completing an ACOTA-accredited OTA program, holding or eligibility for state COTA licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACOTA accredited OTA program.
• State COTA license (or license eligible).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Detail-Oriented: Observe, note and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals.
• Education: Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and break down activities into achievable components.
• High Standard of Care: Maintain professional standards and comply with policies and regulations.
• Personalized Treatment: Under licensed OT direction, optimize patientsA0functional abilities and skills.

Overview

Position:Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA

Location: 969 Eisenhower Blvd Johnstown, PA 15904

Schedule: PRN Weekdays (Tues and Thurs)

Compensation: $28.00 - $33.00/hour, pending experience

We are seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our outpatient orthopedic team with a focus on hand therapy. In this role, you will treat a variety of upper extremity conditions, including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. You will collaborate closely with our Certified Hand Therapist, ensuring you have the guidance and resources needed to succeed.
