Job summary

Ensemble Therapy in Palm Desert, CA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement treatment plans under supervision and document progress. You will educate families, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and deliver in-person or telehealth sessions as clinically appropriate.

Strong communication and a positive, adaptable mindset help drive patient outcomes across diverse ages and needs. Licensure support and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the California CBOT.
  • Current NBCOT registration.

Responsibilities

  • Execute individual treatment plans for clients under supervision.
  • Regularly measure clinical signs to assess progress and communicate results to supervisor.
  • Complete Kareo notes and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Educate and train families about OT techniques and strategies.
  • Develop strategies to address behaviors and improve outcomes.
  • Meet minimum utilization goals and collaborate with other disciplines.
  • Provide in-person and telehealth OT treatments as appropriate.
  • Work with diverse patients across ages and backgrounds.

Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Pay: $70-80k/year

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute individual treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor.
  • Regularly measure clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progression towards goals, and openly communicate your findings to your supervising OTR.
  • Complete all necessary documentation (Kareo notes) using the Company's electronic record system within the expected timeframe.
  • Educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies.
  • Work with and develop strategies to overcome various behaviors.
  • Meet minimum utilization goals / other business objectives as required.
  • Collaborate with peers in other disciplines within Easy Speech for clients who are seen for multiple services.
  • Must be willing to complete Occupational Therapy treatments both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate).
  • Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc ).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients
  • Be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now)
  • Be highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven
Licensing/Credential And/or Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
  • Current Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision .
