Magic Springs Theme & Water Park is seeking a Costume & Makeup Artist for the Magic Screams season. This hands-on role applies makeup, prosthetics, and assists with costumes to bring scare actors to life. Weekend/evening availability from late September through October ensures exciting, seasonal work in a dynamic entertainment setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Weekend/evening availability Sep 26 through Oct 31 in evenings.
• Demonstrated skill in makeup application.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and consistency in executing character looks.
• Comfortable working in high-energy, fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply theatrical and special effects makeup, prosthetics, and face/body paint to bring scare actors' characters to life.
• Follow face chart designs or approved creative concepts provided by supervisors.
• Assist actors with costume fitting, dressing, and adjustments to ensure comfort, safety, and show quality.
• Collaborate with performers and costuming staff to ensure a cohesive final look.
• Assist with quick changes or touch-ups during event operations as needed.
• Assist in tracking and organizing costumes, accessories, and makeup supplies.

Transform the ordinary into the extraordinary—and the spooky—by joining our Magic Screams team as a Costume & Makeup Artist. This hands-on position is responsible for applying makeup, special effects, prosthetics, and assisting with costuming to ensure each scare actor is fully prepared for their role. From eerie beauty to gruesome realism, you'll create unforgettable visual characters that enhance the immersive fright experience for our guests. This position is perfect for creative artists who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for all things Halloween.

PREFERRED SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 18 years or older.
• Able to work weekends from September 26th through October 31st in the evenings.

Preferred

• Prior experience in theatrical, film, or special effects makeup.
• Knowledge of costume preparation, fitting, and basic repairs.
