Job summary

Tuacahn Center for the Arts is seeking a Costume Aide Supervisor to lead the Costume Aide team under the Alterations Supervisor. You will help run the shop, guide fittings, label items, and ensure timely materials and data updates. The role supports the shop manager year-round, including off-season planning.

You will train in contracts, inventory, and workflows, assist with show preparation, and coordinate with the team to deliver quality costumes for performances in Padre Canyon.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional Costume Design Assistant experience
5+ years of professional theatre/dance/opera experience
Ability to lift 20 lbs
Must have car and valid Driver License
Experience with inventory systems is a plus
Ability to train others in costume techniques

Responsibilities

Help manage paperwork completion
Enter barcodes and data labels into items
Prepare fabrics for shows
Maintain and update fit notes
Assist with contracts for hired builders
Order shop supplies as needed
Ensure show is prepped and ready for each season
Cross-train on Alterations Supervisor duties
