Job summary

Foxlane Homes Delaware is seeking a Costing Manager to join our team. You will provide financial and operational expertise to establish, control, and analyze construction costs and divisional profitability, ensuring every home is built within budget.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, estimating or a related field.
• Prior costing experience with a builder or in the homebuilding/construction industry is a plus.
• Prior experience in sourcing, bidding is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in analyzing and controlling construction costs and profits for all homes within the division.
• Manage a cost control system that effectively and accurately measures costs and production variances and allows for accurate projections of operating results.
• Work with divisional, regional and corporate peers to drive continuous improvement of costs, processes, and systems, and ensure consistency of costing methods across the company.
• Build relationships, improve upon and seek new vendors to expand the subcontractor base
• Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors that will maximize value, quality and delivery to Foxlane Homes and the home buyer.
• Update and maintain sales, pricing and cost information for all active and future communities.
• Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the overall Division business plan.
• Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Experience with MarkSystems and ITK is a plus, but not required.
• Estimating / take off experience a plus.
