Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Costing Data Analyst to support a pharmaceutical client in Research Triangle Park, NC. The role focuses on maintaining finance master data, product costing, and variance analysis, partnering with Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to drive insights.

You will analyze PPV, review SAP process orders, and build dashboards to improve finance and inventory processes. A 5+ year finance background and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a finance-related role.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Experience supporting product costing, inventory analysis, or variance analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update finance-related master data and BOM/recipe mappings.
• Support DSP Material Management System requests with Data Stewards.
• Conduct monthly inventory loss analysis and PPV analysis with root-cause review.
• Review open process orders using SAP KKBC_ORD and ZV657 with Operations.
• Primary Finance contact for material destruction forms processing.
• Investigate significant inventory losses with Supply Chain Warehouse teams.
• Build and update dashboards and reports, seeking process improvements via automation.

About the Role:

Brooksource is hiring a Costing Data Analyst to support a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Research Triangle Park, NC. This role provides dedicated support to the Finance and Supply Chain (Master Data and Warehouse) teams and is responsible for maintaining finance-related master data, supporting product costing activities, investigating inventory and purchase price variances, and delivering reporting and analysis that drive business decisions.

This is a highly collaborative role that partners closely with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Warehouse, and Data Steward teams. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and update finance-related master data, including validating BOM and recipe mappings and resolving data discrepancies.
• Support Data Steward Platform (DSP) Material Management System requests by partnering with Data Stewards to clarify requirements and deliver accurate results.
• Conduct monthly inventory loss analysis and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis, including investigating root causes, identifying trends, and documenting variance explanations.
• Review open process orders using SAP transactions such as KKBC_ORD and ZV657 while partnering with Operations to identify and address recurring issues.
• Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for material destruction forms, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Partner with Supply Chain Warehouse teams to investigate significant inventory losses and maintain accurate trend reporting.
• Build, maintain, and update dashboards and reporting tools while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology and automation.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a finance-related role.
• Experience working with financial systems and ERP platforms, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business partners.
• Experience supporting product costing, inventory analysis, master data management, manufacturing finance, or variance analysis is preferred.
