Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Cost Manager to lead cost maintenance across item costs, BPAs, freight loads, and related updates. You will validate vendor cost changes, manage batch updates, and ensure cost data drives pricing, inventory valuation, and margin reporting.

You’ll collaborate with buyers, supply planners, and finance to improve workflows and controls. The role requires 6+ years in costing/sourcing, strong leadership, and experience with ERP and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of costing, sourcing, supply chain, or pricing with continuous improvement focus.
• Experience leading teams in pricing, costing, sourcing, or business operations.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with process-driven work.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cost maintenance function for item costs, BPAs, freight loads, and related updates.
• Review and implement vendor cost changes accurately across systems.
• Oversee one-time and mass cost updates, including imports/exports and scheduling.
• Monitor cost data to support pricing, inventory valuation, and margin reporting.
• Maintain controls around cost effective dates and supplier notifications.
• Identify opportunities to automate cost workflows, controls, and reporting.
• Provide cost trend reporting to stakeholders to drive margin improvements.
• Oversee EVO, EVO+, VOS, Salesforce, Enable usage in cost maintenance.
• Coach Cost Specialists and Cost Administrators; develop the team.
• Escalate cost-related issues impacting pricing or system transformations.
