Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking a Cost Manager to lead cost maintenance across item costs, BPAs, and freight loads. You will drive data integrity, support pricing decisions, and collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, and Sales Ops to optimize margins.

You will oversee cost updates, implement process improvements, and mentor Cost Specialists, with a focus on accurate cost data reflecting market conditions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in costing, sourcing, supply chain, or pricing with continuous improvement.
• Experience leading teams in pricing, costing, sourcing, or finance.
• Strong problem-solving and process-driven work capabilities.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Experience with ERP or cost maintenance systems is highly desired.
• Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost maintenance for item costs, BPAs, freight loads, and related data.
• Review, validate, and implement vendor cost changes in systems.
• Oversee one-time and mass cost updates, imports/exports, schedules.
• Ensure timely cost data supports pricing, margin, and inventory valuation.
• Maintain controls on cost effective dates and supplier notifications.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve cost workflows and reporting.
• Provide cost change reporting to stakeholders to drive margin improvement.
• Collaborate with buyers, supply planners, and suppliers on cost accuracy.
• Coach Cost Specialists and cost administrators on best practices.
