Qualifications

• 8+ years of Software or Platform Engineering experience with a track record of writing clean, scalable code.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java and strong backend capabilities.
• Experience with object storage APIs (AWS S3, Backblaze) and large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience building programmatic financial models for cloud spend and capacity planning.
• Expert understanding of AWS billing, pricing models, and enterprise discounts.
• Strong Kubernetes (EKS) compute efficiency and Terraform automation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead large-scale data and cost-optimization initiatives during Kubernetes migration.
• Design and implement cost-optimized storage migrations and data transfer pipelines.
• Develop guardrails and automation to control costs using Python/Go and Terraform.
• Create, maintain, and improve programmatic cloud spend models and budget variance analysis with Finance.
• Build cost observability tooling and chargeback reporting for engineering teams.
