Job summary

Miss A is expanding its Dallas headquarters and seeks an energetic Cost & Inventory Accounting Manager to own inventory accounting, landed cost, and COGS across multiple entities. You will partner with Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Accounting to keep data accurate and audit-ready.

The role requires a BA in Finance/Accounting and 5 years' experience in inventory or cost accounting, with advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
• 5 years accounting experience including inventory or cost accounting
• Experience with inventory-based businesses (retail, wholesale, distribution, importing, ecommerce)
• Advanced Excel and ERP/inventory systems knowledge
• NetSuite and WMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accounting and monthly reconciliations across multiple entities and locations
• Calculate and reconcile landed costs, including freight, customs duties, brokerage fees, and goods in transit
• Review cost of goods sold, gross margin, inventory adjustments, shrinkage, and period-end cutoff
• Reconcile inventory and warehouse records to the general ledger
• Manage intercompany inventory transactions and markup calculations
• Review accounts payable aging, purchase orders, receiving records, vendor invoices, and three-way matching
• Review payment packages and support vendor master controls
• Support monthly close, external audits, internal controls, and ERP improvements
• Work with Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Accounting to resolve inventory and cost discrepancies
• Other duties as required

• Experience with inventory-based businesses such as retail, wholesale, distribution, importing, or e-commerce
• Knowledge of landed cost, inventory reconciliation, cost of goods sold, accounts payable, and period-end cutoff
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or inventory systems
• NetSuite and WMS experience preferred
