Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Port Arthur, TX team. You will own the monthly close process, analyze actuals against forecasts, and partner with regional teams to validate data and drive performance insights.

You will develop cost models, prepare management presentations, and support annual planning and budgeting across cost centers and plants. Strong Excel, JD Edwards, and OBIEE experience are valued as is a collaborative, detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of finance experience with strong Excel skills.
• Experience with JD Edwards and OBIEE preferred.
• Familiarity with Hyperion is a plus.
• Willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial close review and analyze actuals vs forecasts and prior periods.
• Produce variance analyses and maintain financial models to support performance evaluation.
• Prepare and deliver concise presentations to senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage the monthly forecasting process and coordinate with regional teams to validate data.
• Build and maintain cost models to track performance against forecasts and operating plans.
• Coordinate annual planning and budgeting across cost centers and plants.
• Collaborate with cost center leaders to develop budgets and analyze trends for decision-making.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses on operational trends and support reporting tools and training in JD Edwards and OBIEE.
• Manage the purchase-to-pay process.
