Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant/FP&A professional in the United States to architect and scale our cost accounting framework. You will deliver product-level profitability analyses and drive margin optimization across segments, while supporting intercompany allocations and complex reporting.

You will build driver-based models linking growth, staffing, and vendor spend to P&L and cash, and own parts of the monthly close related to cost.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of finance and/or accounting experience.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience including allocation methodology, cost center design, unit cost or product-level costing.
• Core FP&A or accounting experience: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and experience with large data sets, AI, and BI tools.
• Understanding ERP or planning systems and building cost allocation models from scratch.
• Ability to explain financial results to non-finance audiences and challenge assumptions respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Direct cost accounting policies, controls, and reporting to drive financial and growth objectives.
• Architect and scale the cost accounting framework, including expense allocation methodologies across business segments.
• Deliver market and product-level profitability analysis to guide leadership on margin optimization.
• Support intercompany cost allocation, transfer pricing inputs, and related reporting.
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models linking membership growth, staffing, and vendor spend to P&L and cash.
• Own parts of the monthly close related to cost, including accruals, allocations, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Build ROI analyses, vendor decisions, market expansion, and headcount investments with modeled accountability.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to standardize policy, process, and control with a tech-forward mindset.
• Educate and provide tools and reporting to market, network, and clinical teams to manage cost performance.
• Own compliance with audits and regulatory inquiries.
