Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides advanced engineering and analytic support for national security programs. The Cost Analyst will evaluate weapon system costs, schedules, and performance and develop analytical products for acquisition planning at Eglin AFB, FL.

Ideal candidates have DoD cost estimating or EVM experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to translate quantitative data into actionable guidance for Government leaders.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field listed in the description.
• 3+ years of directly relevant cost estimating, EVM, or program controls experience.
• Experience analyzing cost, schedule, and performance data and drawing conclusions.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to work with large data sets and build models.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management, government financial management, or related disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost, schedule, and program performance analysis for weapon system programs.
• Develop and update cost estimates across development, production, and sustainment phases.
• Create defensible estimating methodologies using historical data and risk analysis.
• Analyze performance data to provide informed insights beyond basic reporting.
• Gather information from government and contractor sources to understand drivers behind costs.
• Apply regression analysis, learning curves, and Monte Carlo simulations to characterize uncertainty.
• Evaluate contractor cost and schedule performance to identify trends and risks.
• Conduct Earned Value Management analyses (CPI, SPI, EAC) and IPMR/IPMDAR data reviews.
• Collaborate with GCAMs, program managers, engineers, and financial teams to investigate issues.
• Prepare briefings and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for leadership.
