Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cost Estimator II for a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The role develops accurate cost estimates for maintenance, repair, and construction projects and serves as a key link between operations, management, subcontractors, and customers.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5+ years of estimating experience; proficiency with RSMeans is preferred, along with strong Excel and data management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2–5+ years in estimating or related field.
• Proficiency with RSMeans or similar estimating software.
• Strong Excel, Word, Outlook, and database skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and present cost data clearly to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, ROMs, budgets, and proposal pricing packages.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and site-work.
• Coordinate with managers, engineering, operations and customers to define project requirements.
