Overview / Customer Profile

  • Seeking energetic professionals with expertise in cost, statistical, economic, and/or quantitative analysis to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs within the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF).
  • Our clients require analytical support for systems including aircraft, radars, IT, agile DevSecOps, cyber, and ISR missions. We support DoD Software Factories implementing agile frameworks, integrating systems from multiple services, and developing weapon systems with common tools and continuous authority to operate. This is an opportunity to develop skills in cost, schedule, and risk analysis while contributing to modern weapon systems development.
General Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of cost analysts and subject matter experts on various projects.
  • Develop life cycle cost estimates for DoD weapon system programs.
  • Analyze historical data, develop cost estimating relationships using regression analysis.
  • Understand technology trends and analyze their impact on cost.
  • Analyze software program progress tracking tools and develop metrics for program managers.
  • Interview functional specialists to support estimating methodology development.
  • Develop risk distributions for cost driver variables and cost estimating relationships.
  • Analyze program schedules and quantify schedule uncertainty.
  • Develop metrics for complex software development programs.
  • Build spreadsheet-based program cost models for decision analysis.
  • Apply statistical concepts to quantify success probabilities for budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct business case, trade, and economic analyses.
  • Assist program managers with contract strategies and program planning.
Candidate Strengths

  • Experienced in problem-solving, comfortable in ambiguous environments, capable of leading financial discussions.

Job Requirements
  • Experience or coursework in data science, machine learning, visualization, and business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret is a plus.
  • Three to five years of DoD or USG cost analysis or relevant quantitative analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 21 semester hours in quantitative analysis courses and 3 semester hours of Calculus or Statistics.
  • Degrees in Math, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Data Science, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Work, Physical, and Mental Requirements

Refer to standard Quantech role requirements. The role is primarily sedentary, involving standard office equipment. Physical demands include lifting up to 40 lbs. Mental demands include reading, effective communication, and maintaining professionalism.
