Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Cheyenne, WY seeks a Cost Engineer to perform routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for preconstruction planning. You will assist in budget allocation, quantity takeoffs, project codes, and unit rates to help keep projects on budget and aligned with client objectives.

The role may start in Reston, Houston or Cheyenne and move to a long-term Cheyenne assignment upon project award.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and cost data management.
• Knowledge of capital cost and services estimating.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed.
• Supports cost monitoring and control standards, and prepares cost data and project trend reports.
• Assists with budget allocation, reporting, and cost control for specific disciplines.
• Helps develop quantity takeoffs, project codes, and unit rates for proposals or contracts.
• Assists in the development of project codes of accounts and recommendations for modifications.
