Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (onsite) with 7–10 years in product costing and should-cost analysis. The role supports Engineering and Procurement by developing cost models and driving Design-to-Cost initiatives.

Responsibilities include creating should-cost models, applying DFM/DFA and VA/VE, analyzing CAD/BOM data, benchmarking, and supplier cost analysis. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in cost engineering or manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Experience with should-cost analysis and target costing.
• Proficiency with should-cost tools like aPriori or BDI.

Responsibilities

• Develop should-cost models and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
• Apply DFM/DFA and VA/VE methodologies to optimize product costs.
• Perform cost analysis using CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
• Conduct benchmarking, teardown studies, and supplier cost analysis.
• Support supplier negotiations with detailed cost reports.
• Track product costs and present savings opportunities to management.
