Zelis in Massachusetts is seeking a Software Cost Engineer to analyze, implement, validate, and optimize healthcare cost-processing solutions within the Cost Engine platform.
You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software using C#, Rust, and SQL, and you will work with EDI data, APIs, and cloud data solutions. This role emphasizes collaboration, architecture input, and ensuring performance, security, and scalability with a hybrid work arrangement.
Position Overview: The Software Cost Engineer is a dedicated and highly engaged professional responsible for analyzing, implementing, validating, and optimizing healthcare cost-processing solutions within the Cost Engine platform. The role blends technical analysis, software delivery, healthcare pricing expertise, and client engagement to drive high-quality outcomes.

All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. Candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred. The hybrid approach is flexible, and in‑office presence is guided by team and business needs.
$95,000.00 – $120,650.00 (U.S. base salary). Compensation may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives.
