Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Cost Controller for an oilfield services project, based in Shreveport, LA. You will monitor costs, reconcile spending against budgets, and provide forecasts to project leadership while coordinating with management, procurement, contracts, and controls teams.

Candidates should have 6–12 years in cost control for large-scale construction or industrial programs, with earned value, ERP systems, and data analysis. LNG or mission-critical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in cost control or project accounting for large-scale construction or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, and earned value analysis.
• Proven experience interfacing with project, finance, and contract teams to maintain cost integrity.
• Proficient in cost control systems, ERP tools, and data analysis as well as Excel.
• Experience with SAP and P6.
• Experience in LNG or mission-critical industry background preferred.
• Must understand fundamentals of construction costs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control system and reconcile actual spend against budgets and forecasts.
• Track commitments, expenditures, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and approved project changes.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, accruals, and financial analyses for project leadership.
• Provide clear visibility into project performance to support informed management decisions.
• Collaborate with project management, supply chain, contracts, and project controls teams.
