Job summary

Americaribe LLC is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to ensure accurate monthly cost control reporting for major infrastructure and commercial projects. The role will start in Miami and relocate to St. Thomas, USVI, coordinating with the French HQ on quarterly/Year End reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction cost control, IFRS/SAP ECC experience, and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to lead SAP ECC training and thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Civil Engineering (or foreign equivalent).
• At least 5 years of experience in construction cost control required.
• Experience with IFRS accounting standards and SAP ECC (and BW).
• Ability to lead SAP ECC cost control training.
• Cost control experience on large infrastructure/construction projects.
• Adaptability to a multi‑cultural work environment.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Willingness to overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Monthly Billing to Owner.
• Oversee cost control procedures per US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Contribute to quarterly and Year End reporting to French HQ.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Cost Controller will ensure that the figures reported in the monthly cost control reports are accurate and reflect the actual status of the project, providing reliable information for use by project management. This position will be based in Miami for the first few months, and then in St. Thomas, USVI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee the overall operational financial and reporting aspects for various large infrastructure and commercial construction projects
• Prepare the Monthly Billing to Owner
• Oversee project cost control procedures on a daily basis in compliance with US GAAP per IAC/IFRS accounting standards
• Responsible to execute quarterly and Year End reporting to French HQ
• Responsible to incur the cost of goods, rentals, labor, and sub‑contractor for company jobs
• Manage the follow‑up of budgets and release it as per the progress of the works
• Analyze and understand of any gap (improvement or discrepancy) between the budget and the costs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Civil Engineering (or foreign equivalent)
• At least 5 years of experience, working in the construction industry required
• Must have experience working with IFRS accounting standards and SAP software (ECC and BW)
• Ability to lead SAP ECC cost control training required
• Demonstrable experience with cost control for construction projects required
• Candidate must be able to adapt to a multi‑cultural work environment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Flexible to work overtime and weekends, as needed
• Knowledge of Procore is a plus
