Job summary

EDG Inc. is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to support project teams by validating and reporting project costs, calculating cost accruals, and processing contracts and invoices.

This on-site role is based in the New Orleans area and requires living within commuting distance to downtown. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of cost control experience, proficiency in Excel, and working knowledge of cost control software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a project cost analyst or similar role.
• Working knowledge of cost control software; ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; intermediate MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost expectations and tracking tools with project and discipline personnel.
• Understand project documents for cost control plans and reports.
• Ensure integrity of accounting information and provide analytical services for projects.
• Monitor and complete key reports and provide analytical functions for capital projects.
• Collect, evaluate, and report capital budget, project cost, and variance explanations.
• Create and analyze capital budgets, forecasts, and actual results.
• Work with accounting on reconciling invoices and accruals.
