Job summary

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Cost Analytics Intern to join our Project Controls team in Wichita, Kansas. This internship offers hands-on experience in developing cost forecasts and analyzing project performance to support informed decision-making across capital projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and business leaders while gaining exposure to real projects that add value to KAES.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, etc.).
Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2029.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Support cost analytics for Turnarounds and Capital Projects by tracking spending and forecasting costs.
Analyze project financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and communicate insights to project managers.
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, finance, operations, and plant sites to improve cost visibility.
Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics tools that provide actionable insights into project performance.
Assist with workforce planning and cost forecasting for turnaround events and resource tracking.
Monitor capital project expenditures, commitments, and forecast accuracy throughout the lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to enhance cost reporting, forecasting, and analytics processes.
