Job summary

Murrietta Circuits in Anaheim, CA seeks a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to support pricing, estimating, and government compliance for large contracts. You will help move toward a fully DCAA-compliant cost accounting system and ensure TINA compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Excel skills, file documentation for audits, and the ability to analyze cost drivers and variances to improve profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of cost analysis, pricing, or accounting experience, preferably in government contracting.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and TINA requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel with advanced formulas and VBA/macros.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present cost proposals for major government contracts (TINA threshold and above).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Management to generate accurate cost estimates.
• Refine cost accounting practices for better traceability and audit readiness.
• Assist with DCAA-aligned cost accounting policy implementation.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits (DCAA, DCMA).
• Create and automate Excel-based costing models with advanced formulas.
• Analyze actual versus estimated costs to improve quoting accuracy and profitability.
• Stay current on FAR/DFARS, CAS, and TINA regulations.
• Provide financial analysis on pricing, margins, and cost drivers.
