Job summary

Cambia Health seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to lead complex cost allocation methodologies, support pricing, forecasting and cost efficiencies. Requires 8+ years in cost accounting within health care insurance and a Bachelor's degree; CPA preferred.

You will drive process improvements, mentor analysts and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating across leaders in a hybrid, multi-office environment including Fargo. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 8+ years of Cost Accounting experience in health care insurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA preferred
• GAAP/CAS/FAR/FEHBAR familiarity
• Proven leadership experience with increasing management responsibilities
• Ability to think analytically and provide in-depth analysis with sound judgement

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, analysis and reporting of financial data for pricing and monitoring major lines of business and products.
• Provide input into development of cost allocation policies and systems to ensure compliance.
• Direct timely and accurate preparation of regulatory reports, analyses and operating plans; train staff and optimize cost allocation resources.
• Provide critical review of operating expense allocations and projections to ensure no-surprise environments.
• Collaborate with outside auditors, regulators and customers on financial and accounting issues.
• Motivate and develop staff; drive process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead and coordinate periodic conversions or consolidations of financial systems and interfaces with ancillary systems.
• Act as subject matter expert in cost allocations and advise internal/external customers.
