Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Senior Cost Accounting specialist with deep SAP S/4HANA knowledge to drive month-end close, inventory consolidation, and variance analysis in a GMP manufacturing setting.

You will partner with manufacturing and finance teams to optimize processes, improve reporting, and maintain strong internal controls and audits compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in cost accounting within regulated manufacturing environments with SAP S/4HANA experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cost activities including inventory consolidation and overhead absorption.
• Support standard cost processes, analyze variances and partner with cross-functional teams to improve reporting.

Role

Senior Cost Accounting specialist with expertise in SAP S/4HANA supporting manufacturing and financial close activities in a biotech/pharma setting.

Responsibilities

• lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cost activities, including inventory consolidation, process order settlement, manufacturing variance analysis, and overhead absorption
• serve as SAP S/4HANA cost accounting SME
• support standard cost processes, analyze variances, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reporting
• ensure compliance with internal controls and audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related
• 5+ years in cost accounting within regulated manufacturing environments, with extensive SAP S/4HANA experience covering product costing, cost center accounting, and manufacturing cost flows
• strong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and variances
• experience with Hyperion/EPM and financial reporting tools
• solid knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and SAP process improvements

Preferred

• CPA, MBA, or advanced degree
• GMP manufacturing experience
• familiarity with SAP Material Ledger and actual costing
• advanced Excel and data visualization skills
