Job summary

Toyota Motor North America is seeking an Analyst – Cost Accounting in Texas. The role leads inventory management, BOM creation, costing, variance analysis, and reporting for several shops and General Stores, reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager.

The candidate will support physical inventories, drive cost reductions, and ensure SOX compliance while coordinating audits and month-end close activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent analytical degree.
• Experience supporting monthly close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with SAP financial and materials modules (bonus).
• Experience creating Power BI reports.
• Experience with bills of materials.
• Experience in Automotive Manufacturing accounting.
• Experience reconciling Physical Inventories.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory activities, including physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Perform direct raw material analysis and reporting for multiple assemblies.
• Prepare and present MUV reports with cost reduction insights.
• Investigate inventory variances and root causes.
• Coordinate General Stores audits and BOM maintenance for SOX compliance.
• Support month-end closing with material movements and journal entries.
• Produce Plant Inventory Trends and Days of Supply reports.
• Coordinate physical inventory with audits at multiple locations.
• Support ad-hoc projects and new production launches.
• Develop Standardized Work Instructions and Kaizen.
