Job summary

Samsonite International S.A. is seeking an Inventory/Cost Accountant to support COGS analysis and inventory reconciliations in Mansfield, MA. The role involves preparing monthly entries for inventory and the P&L, conducting SOX controls, and coordinating with auditors and operations teams.

You will help maintain standard operating procedures, oversee physical inventory counts, and manage material master data for SKUs, ensuring accuracy across Wholesale and DTC channels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cost-of-goods-sold (COGS): adjust as necessary, all components directly affecting COGS including variances related to freight, duty, and de-nesting
• Prepare Inventory Aging and propose necessary obsolete reserve adjustments
• Prepare reconciliation of Wholesale/DTC Inventory – including Consignment Inventory
• Prepare monthly entries pertaining to inventory and COGS section of the P&L
• Assist with yearly physical inventory counts
• Support monthly cost accounting close within SAP
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures/processes for the current tasks performed
• Prepare monthly/quarterly SOX controls
• Maintain monthly inventory reports
• Monitor inventory reserves
• Partner with finance and operations team
• Adhoc inventory analysis
• Partner with internal and external auditors
• Set Up Material Master Info for SKU’s
