Job summary

Jobtailor in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a cost accountant with 3+ years in manufacturing to support cost accounting, cycle counts, and month-end close in SAP. You will prepare cost-related schedules, assist in annual inventory and cost roll-ups, and collaborate with corporate auditing.

The role requires a Bachelor in Accounting and strong Excel skills; fluent English; and a hands-on attitude to data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 3+ years of standard cost experience in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and standard costing.
• SAP experience is required and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow, design and/or implement cost accounting.
• Ensure the continuous cycle count process is performed, completed and recorded in SAP.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory.
• Assist in the annual cost roll-up for all sites.
• Produce cost-related schedules, review external inputs and analyze results.
• Assist in the preparation of journal entries for month-end, quarter-end and year-end.
• Assist in monthly allocations (facilities & QC, EMS miscellaneous costs).
• Assist in monthly reclassification of R&D inventory usage and no-charge samples to customers.
• Review all raw material, freight-in & freight-out AP.
• Assist with costing recipes.
• Provide costing data to corporate auditing firm and parent.
• Continuously improve SAP knowledge, with the goal of becoming a super-user.

Responsibilities

• Assist the preparation of JE’s for month-end, QTR and YE
• Assist in the preparation of monthly allocations (facilities & QC, & EMS miscellaneous costs).

Requirements

• An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and deep knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing.
