Job summary

Revolution Foods is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst to manage standard costs, inventory valuation, and COGS, supporting month-end close and financial reporting. You will collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate product costs and drive cost visibility. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–4 years of cost accounting experience.

Manufacturing experience, especially in food and beverage, is a plus. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of cost accounting.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; food and beverage a plus.
• Public accounting experience a plus.
• Understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• Attention to detail with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, overhead, and finished goods.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, including material usage, purchase price, labor, overhead, and production variances.
• Support inventory accounting, reconciliations, valuation, and reserve analysis.
• Prepare and review COGS and inventory-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to manufacturing and inventory.
• Investigate cost and inventory discrepancies and partner with Operations to resolve issues.
• Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory controls.
• Analyze production costs, yields, scrap, and other manufacturing performance metrics.
• Prepare recurring cost reports and provide analysis of trends and key drivers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to manufacturing costs.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.

Description

The Cost Accounting Analyst supports the company’s manufacturing cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, standard costing, and variance analysis. This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate product costs, provide visibility into manufacturing performance, and support month-end close and financial reporting.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.

Salary Range: $74,000 - $95,000
