Job summary

LHH is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their Finance team in Brunswick, GA, supporting manufacturing operations through accurate product costing, inventory analysis, and financial reporting.

You will partner with plant leadership and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiencies, and strengthen financial controls while contributing to monthly closes and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-4+ years cost accounting or operations finance experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and standard costing methodologies.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for new and existing products.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and provide recommendations.
• Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
• Review manufacturing and production data for costing accuracy.
• Prepare reports related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and production performance.
• Assist with cycle count processes and inventory control initiatives.
• Collaborate with plant operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Support audits, financial reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
