Job summary

Solmax is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to maintain GL integrity across multiple plants and oversee inventory-related accounts. You will help forecast and budget, analyze costs, and support variance analysis to identify cost-improvement opportunities.

Applicants should have manufacturing accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to prepare audit schedules and monthly reports. This role requires practical knowledge of standard cost accounting and cross-functional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in PC operations, Windows applications, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing and standard cost accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the standard cost system for manufactured products.
  • Monitor and finalize the manufacturing work order process into inventory.
  • Review, correct, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs / metrics for analyzing operating results.
  • Maintain general ledger (G/L) accounts associated with inventory and ensure they are balanced with inventory subsystems across multiple plants.
  • Manage variance reserves and expenses including purchase price variance, standard revaluation, usage variances, and overhead variances.
  • Coordinate the flow of general ledger data through the system.
  • Prepare journal entries, schedules, and reports for the monthly Operating report outs.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and the annual budget.
  • Calculate elimination entries for inter-company inventory in both dollars and units.
  • Process manufacturing transactions for off-site facilities.
  • Audit and assist in periodic physical inventories at multiple locations.
  • Execute special projects as needed
