Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Cost Accountant in Knowles, WI to support cost management, margin reporting and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment. This on-site role focuses on analysis, month-end close support, and maintaining internal controls.

You will work with finance, operations and IT to drive profitability and cost efficiency, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements. This is a permanent, full-time position with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of GAAP & Cost Accounting Standards.
• Experience with cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by product, by customer type.
• Assist in month-end closing and journal entries; analyze inventory valuation and roll forward.
• Coordinate with IT for system issues affecting production, purchasing, and finance modules.
• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintain internal control documentation and test controls.
• Reconcile sales, cost and inventory, and liability accounts by customer type and division.
• Review inventory and margin reports; conduct profitability analyses.
• Support audit schedules, tax schedules, and internal reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of inventory and gross margin schedules to management.
• Participate in special cost accounting projects as required.
