Job summary

SeAH Superalloy Technologies, LLC in Temple, TX seeks a Cost Accountant to support manufacturing cost analysis, inventory valuation, and standard costing within a fast-paced ERP/MRP-driven environment.

You will collaborate with Production, Procurement and Engineering to ensure accurate cost capture, conduct variance analyses, and assist month-end close with routine reporting and reconciliations. Prior SAP Business One experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high accuracy.
• Adaptable, collaborative team player across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Investigate variances between standard and actual costs.
• Support product costing, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Partner with Production, Procurement and Engineering to capture costs in ERP/MRP.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions within the MRP system.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventory, resolve discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare cost and variance reports for Finance leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy and reporting efficiency.

About the role

• The Cost Accountant is responsible for supportingSeAHSuperalloy Technologies' manufacturing operations through accurate cost analysis, inventory valuation, and standard costing. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with MRP systems and inventory management, along with a solid foundation in manufacturing cost accounting.

What you'll do

Cost Accounting & Analysis

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead, and investigate variances between standard and actual costs.
• Support product costing activities, including cost roll-ups and analysis of manufacturing variances (material, labor, and overhead).
• Partner with Production, Procurement, and Engineering to ensure costs are accurately captured and reflected in the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions within the MRP system, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes, researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure inventory valuations areaccurateandproperly reflectedin the general ledger.

Month-End & Reporting

• Support month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory/cost-related accruals.
• Prepare routine cost and variance reports for the Controller or Finance leadership.
• Assistwith audits, compliance reviews, and other reporting needs by providing supporting documentation.

Process Improvement

• Identifyopportunities to improve costing accuracy, inventory controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve cost and inventory discrepancies.
• Assistwith the implementation or enhancement of ERP/MRP-based costing andinventory workflows

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management practices.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Adaptable, collaborative team player able to work effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct, hands-on experience with SAP Business One.
• Experience in a startup, greenfield, or rapidly scaling manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Primarily sedentary role; ability to sit for extended periods at a workstation.
• Regular use of hands for typing, 10-key data entry, and computer work.
• Ability to lift or carry light office items (typically up to 15 lbs.).
• Work performed in a standard office environment adjacent to manufacturing operations; moderate noise level.
• Ability to read screens, documents, and electronic communications with clarity.
• Overtime may be required during month-end, quarter-end, and annual close periods.
