• 4+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in direct cost accounting in manufacturing.

• Experience with large ERP systems is required.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leadership to analyze performance, profitability, and cost drivers.
• Maintain the standard cost system and perform product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Manage inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory support, and reserve calculations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and analyses.
• Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.

Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Spring City, PA (On-site, Full-Time)
Compensation: $90K - $120K + Bonus + Full Benefits Package

About the Role

As an established manufacturing organization, we're seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to take ownership of product costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing analysis, and financial reporting activities. This position will play a critical role in maintaining cost integrity throughout the organization while partnering closely with Operations to improve profitability and support business decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience and a strong understanding of standard costing, inventory controls, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leadership to analyze business performance, profitability, and cost drivers.
• Maintain the standard cost system and perform product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation activities.
• Manage inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory support, and excess/obsolete reserve calculations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting financial analyses.
• Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements.
• Generate reporting and insights that support data-driven business decisions.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting operational and financial performance.
• Support capital investment analysis and business case evaluations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, and Leadership teams to improve processes and drive business results.
